PARTICULARS.

Extract from Royal Mint Letter of 13/9/1901.

ANSWER.

It will be necessary that the exact use to which the Seal is applied should be stated, e.g. whether the impression is taken in wax or embossing paper, or in the form of a wafer seal &c..

It should be further stated whether a press is used or whether the seal is impressed by hand &c..

For embossing paper only.

The impression is made by hand with a screw press.

It will be desirable to state the metal in which the present seals are made.

The present seal is made of steel with a copper matrix.
